Drive-to Largemouth Bass Fishing Lodges

Wolseley Lodge is located on the famous French River, which is more like a chain or lakes with a few beautiful rapids. The river is well known for outstanding Walleye, Muskie, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass fishing. There is also great fishing for Perch, Channel Cats and panfish. Every year guests catch Walleyes over 30 inches and Muskie over 50 inches. Huge trophy Northern Pike and bass are also available. Wolseley Lodge is both a housekeeping and a full service all-inclusive meal plan lodge with rustic, clean and cozy cottages and delicious home cooked meals. They are just a few hour's drive from the border.

Sunbeam Bungalows is located in sheltered Callander Bay, on the southeast shore of Lake Nipissing, easy to reach by highway from Toronto in 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Callander Bay offers excellent small mouth bass and large mouth bass fishing and gives you shelter and safety in comparison to the rest of the lake.

Both small mouth bass and large mouth bass are common in the 2- 4lbs range, with larger 5- 9lbs trophy catches available. In the right area, you will catch bass all day long: large mouth hotspots abound, and we know the rocky shoals where the schools of small mouth are found.

Sunbeam Bungalows is a family owned resort, open from the spring walleye season, through to the winter ice fishing season. Our newly renovated housekeeping cottages have all the comforts and amenities of home in a very relaxed and friendly setting. New (2015) 16 ft Legend boats with 25 hp 4-stroke Mercury motors are clean and reliable.

Vance's Resort is located at the mouth of the Spanish River and the North Channel, Lake Huron. They are south of Espanola Ontario. Vance's Resort has a great variety of excellent fishing including outstanding Smallmouth Bass fishing and Largemouth Bass fishing. Smallmouth Bass are common up to 5 pounds while Largemouth Bass can be found up to 4 pounds. They offer housekeeping cottages and a full service marina. This is a beautiful camp to bring the whole family as there are tons of activities other than fishing.

Tumblehome Lodge is a family owned housekeeping fishing lodge featuring great hospitality and a friendy staff. They are located on Crotch Lake. The lake is 1.5 hours' drive west of Ottawa and 1.5 hours north of Kingston and Belleville. The closest towns are Sharbot Lake and Clarendon. Crotch Lake, without a doubt, is the very best bass fishing lake in Eastern Ontario. It's a huge lake with a diverse structure. Rocky shorelines and points are inundated with Smallmouth Bass. The back bays, narrows and shallow satellite lakes are stuffed with Largemouth Bass. The stars of the show are several smaller lakes that are attached to Crotch Lake. You can only get into when the water is high in the spring and early summer. Both lakes are stuffed with Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass. Guests can expect to catch 30 to 50 Smallmouth Bass per day, with quite a few over 3 pounds and a couple in the 4 to 5 pound range. There are 6 and 7 pound bass in the lake. The Largemouth Bass population is a little lower but still in great numbers. Largemouth Bass are common in the 2 to 3 pound range but there have been 8-pounders caught and released. The lodge has clean Housekeeping Plan cottages and smaller cabins. They have nice fishing boats for rent and also have outstanding fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike. There is a Professional fishing guide working out of the lodge.

Gary's Guide Service This is Gary; owner of the Bass Heaven website. I just happen to live near Tumblehome Lodge. I keep my boat at the lodge and I offer guiding on Crotch Lake for Walleye. Smallmouth Bass & Largemouth Bass. Northern Pike are also available but not in great numbers like bass and Walleye. Please Note: If the wife or the wives are not interested in fishing they can drive 20 minutes to gorgeous downtown Perth where there are all kinds of shops, cafe's and boutiques.
